The average yearly temperatures on the island usually range from 70 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit. Coastal water temperatures usually range from a warm 76 to 79 degrees Fahrenheit. The refreshing Prevailing Trade Winds that blow across the island do a great job in keeping the temperatures comfortable.

The average yearly rainfall accumulations vary across the island from a low of 26inc in Honolulu to a high of over 150inc in the mountainous regions. The higher you go on the Oahu landscape, the cooler and rainier it gets. Overall, the coolest temperatures and the rainiest seasons occur during the winter months from November through to April.
