Oahu Romantic Beach Walk
Island:
Oahu

Location

Waikiki, HI
United States

Some of the most romantic locations in the world can be found right here in Hawaii. Grab your significant other and go for a romantic stroll along a stretch of beach along one of Oahu`s coastlines. Find a spot to stop and "make out" with your significant other while you are at it. After seeing the breathtaking glimmer of the sun rising or setting along the shoreline, it will be the natural thing to do. Then again, maybe it will be the glimmer in his or her eyes.

The best times for such walks would be during a sunrise or during a sunset. The best Oahu beaches to walk at sunrise are Waikiki Beach, Kailua Beach and Lanikai Beach. The best beaches to walk at sunset are Sunset Beach (or any beach on the North Shore) and Waikiki Beach. A long romantic walk on the beach is an experience worth treasuring.

Romantic Beach Walk Tips

You may have once marketed yourself to your significant other as being charming and romantic, one who loved to take long romantic walks on the beach... If you ever did, this is probably your best opportunity and time to prove it. Don’t just stop there however, be a hopeless romantic spouse and say something real special to your significant other that he or she will remember for the rest of his or her life. If you are the poetic type then go for it! Feel free to follow your walk with a nice romantic dinner in one of Oahu’s finer restaurants. Hint, for extra brownie points, be proactive and secretly make reservations prior (you can find Oahu Dining Tips and a list of fine dining Oahu Restaurants on our site along with locations and telephone numbers). You are building memories that will be cherished, and that will last a lifetime. Feel free to tell us about them in the "My Hawaiian Stories" section of this site. We love to hear love stories from Hawaii.

If you decide to see the sunset, look out for the famous "green flash" above the shoreline just as the sun disappears beneath the horizon. This phenomenon happens at times due to light waves refracting through certain dense atmospheres or specific weather conditions. A “green flash” is rarely seen but quite an amazing experience.
