Horseback Riding on Maui
Horseback Riding offers equestrian lovers (horseback riding lovers) the option of sightseeing while riding on top of a majestic horse across Maui`s beautiful terrain. A fact unknown to many is that Hawaii has a rich cowboy tradition and ranching is actually very popular amongst the islands. In the Hawaiian language, the Hawaiian word for cowboy is "Paniolo"[pa-Nee-o-low]. You will get familiar with this word and with the history of horseback riding on the Hawaiian Islands during most horseback ride tours on Maui.
There are a handful of ranches that provide tours, we have listed a few recommended ranches within our site to assist you in your research in finding the ranch that best suits your needs.
Horseback riding takes place in small groups and reservations fill up quickly. For this reason you should make reservations at least three weeks in advance. Some ranches give you a discount if you book online. Please be informed of weight and age restrictions the ranch may have to avoid any complications.
